It’s hard to imagine life without Ian, we will miss him terribly.
From Round Table to Henley Lions Ian was always there with a welcome smile, a new idea for us to think about and support for all our projects.
Henley will miss him, his care and support reached many and it was a very happy day when he received the Town Medal in recognition of his work.
A lovely friend we will not forget.

I want to thank Ian for his smiles and contribution to the Chiltern Centre for Disabled Young Adults through his association with Henley Lions. I also remember Ian and Ruth when we shared art classes together, I felt a complete amateur as their work was so wonderful. Sending fondest wishes and thoughts to Ian and Ruths' family at this sad time. Emma Lerche-Thomsen

Ian will not be forgotten. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man, good company and always in good humour. He was devoted to Ruth, as she was to him. Ian's contribution to Henley Lions club and to the town was immense. His Lions work was recognised by a Melvin Jones Award. Henley Town Council awarded him the Town Medal. Both were well deserved. Always creative and innovative, he was constantly looking for opportunities to help the young and those less fortunate than himself. He was an example to us all and will be sorely missed.
